Darren Collins spoke to us about his non-profit "Project Hands Up".  He uses puppets and magic
in an innovative program to educate groups in Africa about HIV.

Midlothian Rotarians headed south to Waxahachie to hear about the construction of the Baylor Hospital.

John Capps and his wife Kim stopped by to tell us about the upcoming 'Friends of NRA' banquet at the Midlothian Convention Center on 9/19.

September 10, 2013:

Dena Petty spoke about her 'Movement Toward a Future' mentoring program at the high school.  There are needs for mentors this year, so please VISIT THE WEBSITE for more info.

On a separate note, Dena's son Bryce is the new quarterback at Baylor.  If you would like to view the video of her 'mic'd up', you can SEE IT ON YOUTUBE.

Marni White shares about Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Ellis County.  She discussed what it takes to be come a Big Brother/Big Sister and encouraged Rotarians to become involved. There are currently over 60 children waiting to be 'adopted' by a BB/BS.

August 27, 2013:

Brian Howell is presented with his Paul Harris Fellow by his mother.

Sissy Franklin stopped by to tell us about Manna House's big plans for a Midlothian Volleyball Tournament Fundraiser. The 'Hunger Games' will be held September 21st.

August 20, 2013:


Kevin Blankenship presents Gina Moore a check from Midlothian Rotary in support of the Midlothian Veteran's Day Dinner to be held in November at the Convention Center.

John Piper is presented with a Presidential Plaque for his service during the 2012-2013 Rotary year.


August 7, 2013:

Lisa Deese visited the Club Meeting.  The Midlothian Rotary Club was very excited to hear the news that the Meals on Wheels Kitchen Campaign is now ready to start a ground breaking for their new building in the next couple of months.  This new Midlothian facility and the Meals on Wheels program will be something that Midlothian can be proud of for years to come! 


July 30th, 2013:

A hearty WELCOME to the new Midlothian Chamber of Commerce President, Cammy Jackson.  The Midlothian Rotary Club is looking forward to the experience and exciting ideas Cammy brings to support our local businesses. 


July 16th, 2013:

2013-14 Rotary 5810 District Governor Ean Sullivan visited our club on July 16th.  President Kevin Blankenship presented a check for $250 to support Polio Plus. This is the effort Ean's wife, Jan, has chosen to endorse this Rotary year.
