Our speakers today are from the Midlothian Police Department CATT Team - Officer Scott Hughes (retiring) and Officer Nick VanDerkar (incoming) and possibly Chaplain Larry Atchley. They will be talking about this year’s National Night Out event and introducing the new CATT team members.
The Purpose / Mission of CATT is to bring the community together as a team, to prevent, combat, deter and stop crime.
They will also talk about this year's National Night Out, to take place on Tuesday, October 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in neighborhoods throughout Midlothian. While the rest of the nation typically celebrates in August, Texas observes the event in October to avoid the peak summer heat.
