Steve Cooper is 14 year veteran Midlothian Police officer assigned to the Homeland Security Investigations Human Trafficking Task Force for North Texas, a big swath of real estate. He has a background in the DEA, too. Most of his work is centered around our community in Ellis County. He presented some statistics and talked about the agencies in the Task Force and some of their overall work to investigate human and sex trafficking in this area. They focus on disrupting human trafficking organizations, using various methods, such as undercover work, so that's why we're not showing his face here. A very interesting and sobering presentation.
